Adapting to water scarcity thorugh innovative and transformative policies is a key challenge for water management.
This policy brief presents: 1) an overview of the main features of each living lab; a) a list of barriers (social, economic, institutional etc.) that can preclude the implementation of adaptation policies; 3) a preliminary list of potential policies tailored to each river basin.
The policies listed are to be considered preliminary, the identification of the final and definitive policies will follow the simulation of their effectiveness through TRANSCEND’s modeling suites and a furhter evaluation by local stakeholders.
